World's Largest Sugar Beet

The concept of this idea was founded around a camp fire by Gregg Holte as a way to provide education to people about the sugar beet industry in the valley and to put Halstad on the map.  The World's Largest Sugar Beet was finished in November of 2019 and weighs in at over 37,140 lbs before it was dressed up. The beet is approximately 20' tall and the leaves themselves are 7'.
